Participants to ILI-ACLE come from a wide range of public and private institutions located across the African continent as well as, increasingly, from parts of Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Usually mid-senior level officials, ILI-ACLE participants bring a welcome and diverse range of experiences and ideas, enriching the programmes we run. Our participants range from private practitioners, legal officers and other government officials, judges, local court members, economists, human rights activists, to finance specialists, managers and heads of institutions – to name a few. They play an important role in maintaining the professional, collegial, warm and conducive learning environment that is a key feature of ILI-ACLE programmes.
ILI-ACLE programmes provide participants with carefully developed and high quality practical training in an environment that promotes and encourages participation and reflection. In addition to facilitation from experienced faculty, participants also have support in well-sourced materials as well as free access to the renowned Lexis Nexis research tool while at the ILI-ACLE centre in Kampala. Programmes are organized to foster networking amongst participants, and also allow time for socializing and exploring the surroundings. Prospective and current participants may read more in this guide.
