Rwanda: In-Service Training in International Commercial Law Training

20 May Rwanda: In-Service Training in International Commercial Law Training

Following an international bidding process, the Judiciary of Rwanda awarded ILI-ACLE a contract to provide training on international commercial law to enable them to effectively address the country’s rising number of international and sophisticated commercial disputes that inevitably accompany fast-growing economies. Following an assessment, and in close collaboration with Case Western Reserve University Law School, ILI-ACLE designed and implemented a tailored programme structured around three modules—international trade and economic law, international business transactions and international communications and innovation law. 29 judges and registrars, including judges of the Supreme Court, participated in this training which combined both face-to-face and online training, and led to the award of an Advanced Professional Certificate in International Commercial Law.
