ILI-ACLE enjoys a successful collaboration with the Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC), designing and implementing training programmes for public sector and civil society projects supported by Danida across Africa.
Since 2010, ILI-ACLE has designed and delivered four 2-week training programmes on Promoting Government Integrity and Anti-Corruption, and two 2-week training programmes on Democratisation and the Human Rights-based Approach to Development. Both programmes include a component of institutional action planning to facilitate the transfer of concepts learned into action. Past participants to DFC programmes facilitated by ILI-ACLE include national and local level public sector and civil society officers from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Zambia, Sierra Leone and Burkina Faso.

Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC) manages and implements the Danida supported Fellowship Programme which supplies training in support of capacity development in Danida’s programmes and projects worldwide.
Dr. Ben Twinomugisha serves as an Associate Professor and Dean of Law at Makerere University in Uganda since 2008. Dr. Twinomugisha is renowned as an expert in Human Rights and the Rights-based Approach to Development in Uganda. He served as a Lecturer for the LLM Programme in Human Rights and Democratization in Africa jointly run by the University of Pretoria, South Africa and Makerere University. He is also regularly published in regional publications.
Ms. Elizabeth Onyango is the Deputy Chief of Party at the ILI-ACLE Civil Legal Reform Project Office in Lesotho. In addition, Ms. Onyango is part of the team that recently developed and tested a scenario-based training module on access to justice and human rights for access to justice institutions in Zambia.
The target group consists of relevant staff from the public sector and civil society organisations from Denmark’s priority countries in Africa.
